Unique Gift Ideas {His and Her JORD Wood Watches} And A Giveaway!

I received product in exchange for this post. Affiliate links are provided. All opinions are 100% my own.

I'm so happy you're here today! I hope you'll enter the giveaway at the end of this post to win a $100 coupon code to use on the JORD site. One lucky person will win, but everyone who enters will receive a consolation code worth $25 once the contest ends. A big thanks to JORD Wood Watches for hosting this generous giveaway...

This past week, we went on a trip of a lifetime to celebrate my parents' 50th anniversary. (And of course, our JORD wooden watches came with us!) We wished time could stand still.  It seemed to fly by. But we made the most of every moment... Snorkeling in the beautiful water, zip lining through the jungle, and cheering on our boys as they surfed for the first time! Cousins played games in the pool and we all enjoyed family dinners together in the evenings.

Unique Gift Ideas {Custom Photo Pallets}

Hi Friends! I hope you are doing well. I missed you last week!

We landed back in Seattle at about 4:00 am after a beautiful week in sun-kissed, with coconut-pineapple breeze, Maui, celebrating my parents' 50th wedding anniversary! My mom and dad are an amazing couple, and we wanted to celebrate them with some personalized gifts to help show them how much they mean to us.

So this week, I thought it would be fun to share those gifts with you!

If you need a wedding, anniversary, housewarming, or birthday gift idea, I hope something you see this week will inspire you. Part of the joy of finding these gifts was working with the talented people who create them.

A Summer Summary (Did you have to read that twice?!)

I hope you are enjoying these August days!

This little collage of a summer's day, where our family enjoyed time together, sunshine, and the lake, reminds me of the simple joys of summer that fill our memories and our hearts...

Sundays at Home #171

Well, we've done it. Seattle has just broken the record for the most consecutive days without rain. The previous record was 51 days and was set back in 1951. If you live in a dry, sunny area like where I grew up, you might be thinking... 51 days? That's it? I admit I thought that too. But you guys, it's been w-a-r-m and have I mentioned we don't have air conditioning? Only about 30% of people in our area do. So it's been toasty, but nice.

You won't hear me complaining about a lack of rain here in Seattle... :)

Chippy Bench Love And a Porch That's Seen it All...

This summer our porch has seen brothers and their buddies, popsicles and hot dogs. Cats and two labradors (though never at the same time!) - one lab fast as Sea Biscuit and one who walks like Eeyore.

Our porch has served as a laboratory for impromptu science experiments and has patiently collected baseball gloves, soccer balls, nerf guns and light sabers. It's been there when we've greeted friends and when we've evaluated whether or not an injury would require a bandaid. It's heard laughter, tears, reprimands and all sorts of loud. We do loud well here. ;)

We recently found this bench with all its vintage chippy charm...

The plan is for it to make its way to the shop in September... if we can part with it.

We shall see!

Thanks for visiting today,

Xo

Sundays at Home #170

Hi Friends ~ Welcome back to Sundays at Home! It's hard to believe it's August already. We have been having a heat wave here in Seattle! It's been in the upper 80s and 90s for awhile now, with several more days of heat forecasted. Depending on where you live you may not think that is so hot. Let me tell you why it is. In our area, only about 30% of homes have air conditioning. We are not one of the chosen few. ;)

So while you will not hear me complaining about warm, sunny weather... it's been really warm inside our house as well. A good excuse to move dinner outdoors under the trees!

Vintage Farmhouse Decor Inspiration ~ Which Is Your Favorite?!

If you live in the Pacific Northwest, you may have visited the town of Poulsbo, Washington, which is nicknamed "Little Norway." Although it's just a short ferry ride away from Seattle, I had actually only been there once before returning this past weekend with my family.

Sundays at Home #169

Welcome to Sundays at Home! If you follow along with me on Instagram, you may recognize this picture I recently shared of our hydrangeas. We have been adding to them over the almost four years we have lived in our farmhouse. They're finally starting to fill in and take on the shape I was hoping for. Hooray for little garden goals! :)

We were once again floored by all your creativity. This week we have a gorgeous tour, a yummy recipe & a simple DIY to share. Thanks to everyone who linked up!
